My Chinese fake away recipes

I posted a picture of my Chinese fake away meal a couple of weeks ago & have been asked by a few via instagram how I made it so thought I'd let you all know!

Crispy Chilli beef-
300g beef (I used stir fry beef that's thinly sliced)
3tbsp cornflour mixed with 2tsp Chinese five spice powder
100ml veg oil
Peppers finely sliced
1tsp Chilli paste (or 1 fresh chilli finely sliced)
2 garlic cloves crushed
2 tsp ginger paste (or thumb size piece if fresh ginger cut into fine matchsticks)
4tbsp white wine vinegar
1tbsp soy sauce
2tbsp sweet chilli sauce
2tbsp tomato sauce
Cooked noodles to serve

• Toss the beef in the cornflour & five spice. Heat the oil in a large pan or wok add the beef and fry until crisp and golden.
Place the beef on some kitchen towel to drain, then discard all but 1tbsp of the oil.

• Stir fry the pepper, chilli, ginger & garlic for 3 minutes in the remaining oil.
Mix the vinegar, soy, ketchup & chilli sauce with 2tbsp water in a jug & pour over the veg, simmer for 2 minuets add beef back to pan & toss well to coat. Serve with egg noodles.

Baked sweet and sour chicken-
3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts cubed
5 oz cornflour
salt and pepper to season
2 beaten eggs
32g veg oil
96g sugar
4 tbsp tomato sauce
64g white wine vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp garlic salt

•Season the chicken with salt and pepper then dip into the cornflour and finally into the egg. Fry in the oil until brown but not cooked through. Transfer to an oven proof dish.
Mix the sugar, tomato sauce, vinegar, soy sauce and garlic salt and pour over the chicken.

•Bake for 1 hour @ 160 C turning every 15 minutes. Top with sesame seeds to serve.

•Extra sauce can be made and heated on the hob over a medium heat for 6-8 minutes or until it has reduced and thickened.

Sesame egg fried rice-
Cooked cold rice
Beaten eggs
Frozen peas
Veg oil

•Heat the oil on a medium/high heat, add the rice then the eggs on top and toss together for 30 seconds until the egg starts to cook.

•Add the peas and cook until done.

•Top with soy sauce if wanted.
