As I write this my not so little man is strutting around the house modelling his new school uniform. In '1 sleeps time' he will setting of on a new adventure his first day of Primary School.
A few weeks before he finished pre-school we had a letter from his new teacher explaining some details for the start of term & at the bottom of the letter it stated 'All items of school clothing must be named... Including socks'.
Well all I can say to this is thank god for The Name Label Company.
I received a large pack of mixed labels plenty enough to label every piece of Harrys school clothing, shoes and even his water bottle.
I received a large pack of mixed labels plenty enough to label every piece of Harrys school clothing, shoes and even his water bottle.
The labels arrived with an excellent instructions for use guide with handy top tips.
The instructions were easy and clear to follow which made attaching the many labels all the more easier!
It takes just 3 easy steps:
Remove the label from the backing sheet & place on to the clothing
With the iron on wool setting hold flat on the label for 10-15 seconds
Remove the iron and leave to cool
The shoe labels come printed in a foot shape! Which is fab because it will help Harry to put his shoes on the right feet (hopefully!) They also come with a clear laminate patch to place over the label to help protect it from wear.
I then used the stick on vinyl labels for Harry's water bottle, he'll also have one on his lunchbox when he starts full days in a few weeks time.
These labels are dishwasher, microwave and steriliser proof so fab for all the family!
All of the labels I was sent to review were very easy to attach and made from great quality material.
I will say wait for your iron to fully heat up before you start applying the labels as when I took the jumpers out of the washing machine the labels and disappeared. These were the first items I put the labels onto so can only think I didn't have the iron quite hot enough .
All labels purchased include;
Free & fast UK delivery
Lifetime guarantee (excluding stick ons)
A choice of 3 font types & 7 colours to personalise your design
Many images to chose from to add to your name label including allergy signs (allergy nut, allergy dairy etc)
The Name Label Company also offers blank labels to cover existing labels when clothes are passed on or sent to a charity shop.
You can also raise funds for your School/PTA, Nursery, Club or Charity. Contact the lovely folk at The Name Label Company and they will send you a unique voucher code. Each time the code is used at their checkout your chosen group will receive 20% of the total order (at the end of each month the total raised will be sent by cheque).
I'm very happy with the labels I received and will defiantly be making more orders in the future.

So I'm taking the plunge here is my first video on YouTube, have a snoop at my shopping.

When I was asked to review one of the new designs for Skibz bibs I jumped at the chance!!
For those of you that don't know Skibz are a funky bandana style bib created by Helen a UK Mum, when her children were 'really dribbley'!.
Freddie showing off his classic navy blue & white French stripe Skibz. |
Ever since becoming a Mum to Harry in 2010 I've also had many a day with excessive dribble from my baby/toddler and after discovering Skibz (which I later found out are made only 13 miles form where I live) I was converted from the ordinary bib.

Freddie in the same bib 3 years on! |
Both of my boys have always been dribblers and even now at 20 months Freddie will have to wear a bib from time to time.
No amount of dribble has ever seeped through one of our Skibz bibs, and even on the worst of teething days they always look fab even with a hint of dribble! No changing them every half an hour.
I have had quite a few different designs of Skibz over the years, even reversible ones!
I'd recommend them to anyone with children, they have great designs, so well made and wash really really well.
As soon as you open your Skibz you can tell they are brilliant quality, they are thick yet extremely soft.
I can tell you all whole heartedly that the product washes absolutely amazingly, as you saw from the above pictures Freddie still wears a Skibz that was first worn in 2010 and still looks as new. There is no fading to the colour or deterioration to the fabric or absorbency of the bib.
In the past I have brought other bandana style dribble bibs but none seem to compare with the Skibz.

Since the warmer weather arrived we've definitely been getting our moneys worth from our BBQ!
Wanting to branch out from the normal burgers and sausages we decided to hunt for some special sides to create.
Whilst on holiday I stumbled across Mr Jamie Olivers food tube BBQ book, I liked the pictures for sure! and after reading through a few recipies I was sold.

Whilst on holiday I stumbled across Mr Jamie Olivers food tube BBQ book, I liked the pictures for sure! and after reading through a few recipies I was sold.
One of the recipies I read is actually now become our new BBQ favourite (as the blog title suggests!)
The next time we fired up the BBQ it was the top of our menu, we followed the recipe to the t and It was amazing! We have made it again & deviated from the recipe and they are equally amazing!!
Stuffed Sweet Potatoes
Sweet potatoes (obviously!)
Chorizo, diced
Red onion, diced
Grated chesse (cheddar)
• Rub sweet potatoes with olive oil & salt
• Place straight onto the bbq rack & cover until soft all the way through (around an hour on our gas bbq)
• Brown the onions with the chorizo in a frying pan and set aside
• (For this step we put the potatoes into abaking tray- less mess!) When the potatoes are soft carefully slit them open and top with the chorizo mix then the chesse
• Return the potatoes back to the bbq & leave until the chesse has melted
What do you enjoying cooking on the BBQ?
